Who We are
Launched in January 2022 and working out of our Dubai headquarters with a total fund size of $50m for the first year, we provide the missing link for entrepreneurs and startups worldwide.
Growing businesses need accessible ways to develop and refine their prototypes, complete with tooling and manufacturing, at a reasonable cost.
That’s where Shark Investments comes in. Our closely tailored support, which includes seed funding, is available to clients that work with us from the start to design and engineer their products.
How We Invest
- Share exchange. Here, Shark Investments invests in the client’s brand in exchange for shares. We can invest up to a million dollars on each project in exchange for equity. Our minimum investment is $250,000.
- A license agreement. With this approach, Shark Investments takes ownership of the patent and pays out a royalty fee. That means Shark Investments pays all of your production, sales, and marketing costs.

Our Founders
Shark Investments is a sister company to Shark Design, the full-service multi-disciplinary product design, and development agency. It was conceived and founded in 2021 by Oliver Evans and Salah Sultan, and launched in early 2022.
Sultan is a school friend of Evans and brings more than 15 years of experience in venture capital and investments. He is a founding member of the entrepreneurs organization Oman.
Hardware Startup Investors
Shark Investments is designed to plug the gap where most established players, ranging from your run-of-the-mill seed ventures company or seed platform, to the prominent European fund platforms, and even the top hedge fund seeders, have been found lacking.
In addition, the traditional seed incubator often turns out to be far too controlling, lacking in agility, and limited to a somewhat unimaginative ‘assembly line’ approach. It’s time for a different model.
